TERMS OF SERVICE — VoxBabel
Last updated: March 2026
VoxBabel is developed and operated by Aleksander Argirov (“we”, “our”, “us”), based in Bulgaria.
These terms govern your use of VoxBabel, a voice transcription and translation desktop application. By installing or using VoxBabel you agree to these terms.
1. The service
VoxBabel provides voice-to-text transcription and translation via a Windows desktop application. The service is delivered on a subscription basis. Features and usage limits vary by plan as described on our pricing page.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any feature of the service with reasonable notice.
2. Subscriptions and payment
2.1 Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd(“Paddle”), who acts as our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. When you purchase a subscription you are transacting with Paddle, subject to Paddle’s Terms of Use. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges on your chosen payment method.
2.2 All prices shown are inclusive of applicable VAT where required. Paddle collects and remits VAT on our behalf.
2.3 If payment fails, access to the service may be suspended until payment is resolved.
3. Cancellation and refunds
3.1 You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time.
3.2 Refunds are not issued once a subscription has been activated. We provide a free trial before purchase so you can verify that VoxBabel works on your device and meets your needs before committing. If you experience a technical issue, contact us at info@voxbabel.com and we will do our best to resolve it.
3.3 Our full refund policy is available at voxbabel.com/refund.
4. Service availability
The service depends on third-party speech recognition providers (including Groq and OpenAI). We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. In the event of a service interruption — whether caused by our infrastructure or third-party providers — we will endeavour to restore service as quickly as possible. No data is stored on our servers as a result of using VoxBabel; any interruption affects availability only, not your data.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of VoxBabel;
- use the service to process unlawful content or to violate any applicable law;
- share, resell, or sublicense your subscription or licence key;
- attempt to circumvent usage limits, machine restrictions, or quota enforcement;
- use automated means to abuse the trial activation system.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms without refund.
6. Data and privacy
We process personal data as described in our Privacy Notice at voxbabel.com/privacy. Audio recordings are transmitted directly to our transcription providers and are not stored by us. Transcription history is stored locally on your device only.
7. Intellectual property
VoxBabel and all related software, designs, and documentation are the property of Aleksander Argirov. These terms grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the software for the duration of your active subscription. No ownership rights are transferred.
8. Limitation of liability
8.1 We will not be liable for any loss of profit, loss of data, loss of business, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of VoxBabel.
8.2 Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.
8.3 Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these terms, or on 30 days’ written notice for any other reason. On termination, your licence to use the software ceases. Termination does not affect any accrued rights or obligations.
10. General
10.1 These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Aleksander Argirov regarding VoxBabel.
10.2 If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
10.3 These terms are governed by Bulgarian law. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Bulgaria.
